April Flowers

I’ve included an oft-repeated summer rhyme in the post image, but another rhyme, which is not true in Montana, is this:

April showers bring May flowers.

We always said “May showers bring June flowers.” Well, it is April 3rd. And look what we found on our nature walk today:

Flowers in the woods near the river.

Flowers. Aren’t they beautiful? I’m going to go back tomorrow and identify them with my field guide, so I can add them to our Firsts. Here’s a close-up:

I feel blessed by an early spring. Even if it did snow earlier this week. In His wisdom, the Lord has made many things. And also in His wisdom, He has left us room for wonder.

Oh, so beautiful! You have Spring!
I’ve not heard “May showers bring June flowers.” For us, everywhere we’ve lived, it’s “April showers bring May flowers.” But even so- wrong on both counts, eh? ๐Ÿ™‚
